Children and teens can become SCU members by opening this account, which helps them grow their savings steadily.
 
  • Available to eligible members up to 18 years old
  • Birth certificate and Social Security card required for those under 13
  • Parent or legal guardian must be a joint owner
  • $30 minimum deposit (includes a $5 one-time membership fee)
  • No minimum balance requirement
  • No monthly service charge until the account holder reaches age 18
  • Access to more than 30,000 ATMs through the nationwide CO-OP Network
  • Minors over age 13 must provide a Social Security card along with one of the following items:
    • School ID
    • Government ID, including US Passport
    • Driver's license

SCU teen members can learn daily money management skills through this account.

Teens can choose the Free Checking account  that meets their needs. 
  • Available to members between the ages of 13 and 17
  • Parent or legal guardian must be a joint owner
  • $25 minimum deposit
  • No minimum balance requirement or monthly service charge
  • Access to more than 30,000 ATMs through the nationwide CO-OP Network
  • $110 daily withdrawal limit (parent or guardian may request a higher limit)
  • Teens must provide a Social Security card along with one of the following items:
    • School ID
    • Government ID, including US Passport
    • Driver's license
